Homemade Rice Milk
Today, I'm giving you something for the adventurous- a recipe for homemade rice milk! Believe it or not, it's super easy, tastes great and is much cheaper than buying it from the store. Have fun!
In a blender....
For every 1/2 cup cooked brown rice add 2 cups filtered water. Blend until creamy and smooth. Drink as is or use a mesh cloth to strain out the little rice particles.
To make it taste more like store bought add:
3-4 tbsp agave nectar, maple syrup, honey or a few drops of stevia
1-2 tsp tsp of natural vanilla extract
A pinch of sea salt
Store in glass jars in your fridge for up to 3 days. It may appear to separate (getting a skim on top) but just give it a stir and it will be fine. If you're having trouble using it all up, freeze it in ice cube trays for a quick future addition to a smoothie.
