Quick Tip: Add Limes to your Water!

Harry Nilsson was on to something when he wrote his famous lime in the coconut song...
"Put the lime in the coconut, then you feel better,

Limes and lemons are extremely healing for our body. Squeezing a little lime or lemon juice in your water, on your salads or in your drinks is a great cleanser, energy boost and invigorator.

Why?
Because limes and lemons are alkalizing to our body. Whoa! Wait, but aren't they acidic? Yes, that's true too! I am not saying that lemons or limes are alkaline, I am saying that they  are alkalizing to our body once they are metabolized. The distinction is on the effect the food has on our body! Limes and lemons naturally have a very low sugar content and a high alkaline mineral content which creates an alkalizing effect on our body.
